Should I write my project application in English?

Indeed, it is highly recommended to draft project application in English, although legally it can be done in any official language of the European Union. However, some specific programs, such as those with a very specific geographical component (INTERREG POCTEFA, INTERREG SUDOE, etc.), ask that it be drafted in the languages of the program territories, this is the case of POCTEFA which must be in Spanish and French.

Is it confirmed that calls will be released in 2021?

Most of the centralized programs, that is, those managed from Brussels, were already publishing calls for 2021. Decentralized programmes, such as the full range of INTERREGs, will not start to be published until 2022.

Who organizes the infodays for each program? Where can we check it?

In general, they are organized by the European agency that manages a specific program (EACEA for Erasmus, EISMEA for COSME or Horizon Europe, etc.). Therefore, you need to check it on the agency’s website or on the respective social media account, which is where information about these conferences is given.

There may also be information days organized at the local level on a specific program, by departments of the Regional Government, Provincial Councils, etc.

Entities of a small or medium size have opportunities in the possible calls. Is it better to propose projects in a network and with other partners?

Yes, small and medium-sized entities can be perfectly financed by European programs. What needs to be defined is whether you have the resources, capabilities and expertise necessary to lead a proposal or whether it is more reasonable to be members of an entity with more leadership capacity. In any case, the desire of the European Commission with the new programs is to give space to small entities with no previous experience.

Do contributors have to be from other countries or can they be national contributors?

According to the criteria of each call, it will be necessary to associate with a certain number of organizations from other countries. This does not exclude, however, also partnering with national collaborators, as long as their role is justified by the added value and expertise they bring to the project.

Could second-level federations of social economy organizations participate?

Any entity that is legally registered and aware of its fiscal and tax obligations is perfectly eligible to receive European funding.

Can the same project be submitted to different lines, adapting it to each line of subsidy?

Correct. Possibly; however, the particularities of each call will mean that the project does not end being the same.
