There are varied and diverse EU Funding Programmes, but they all share certain common general principles. They implement European Union policy thanks to its programmes, some of which are directly managed by the European Commission – the Competitive Fund – while others are ‘delegated’ to national entities, such as the Structural Funds (ESIF).

When thinking about submitting a European project to a call for applications, it is best to first become familiar with the specific vocabulary that the European Programmes use. It is also a good idea to know about the advantages of participating in a European project and what activities  are eligible.
