There are varied and diverse EU Funding Programmes, but they all share certain common general principles. They implement European Union policy thanks to its programmes, some of which are directly managed by the European Commission – the Competitive Fund – while others are ‘delegated’ to national entities, such as the Structural Funds (ESIF).
